Iranian missiles and drones struck multiple headquarters of Kurdish opposition groups in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq on September 28, 2022. Headquarters were targeted in Zrgwez and Mawat districts in Sulaymaniyah province, Koya, Balisan, and Bradost districts, and Sherawa village in Erbil province. Apart from the opposition party’s headquarters, bombardments hit residential areas, including schools. The bombardment resulted in multiple casualties. Primary data has confirmed tens of deaths and injuries due to the Iranian attacks. Iran accuses the Kurdish opposition parties of fueling the continuous protests that were sparked after Jina Amini’s death in Tehran, Iran.
