Pir Shalyar ceremony, which dates back nearly 900 years, is held annually in Hawraman Takht, Eastern Kurdistan, Iran, at two different times. One is held in the middle of winter and the other is held in the middle of spring, known as Komsa. Thousands of people from different places participate in the ceremony، during which food is prepared for the guests, ritualistic dance is performed by the dervishes to the music of Daf, and religious chants are sung by the elders of Hawraman.
