More than 5 million Ukrainian refugees have fled the Russian invasion of their country, including nearly 800,000 who have crossed the border into Romania. On arrival, they are given food and shelter by Romanian volunteers. Beyond meeting the immediate needs of the refugees, Romanians have also held protests outside the Russian embassy in Bucharest to show their opposition to the war.
