On the night of October 14th, 651 people from Kobane arrived in Arbat camp after being denied permission to stay in Turkey. Turkish authorities allowed them to cross, on the condition that they would continue towards Iraq. International humanitarian organizations have been coordinating an emergency plan to host around 7000 people from Kobane into the newly build permanent Refugee Camp in Arbat.
